Georgetown Youth Lacrosse offers programs for every age and skill level, from beginner development to advanced competitive play.
BANTAM
1st - 2nd Grade
The Bantam program introduces the youngest players to the sport of lacrosse in a fun and supportive environment. This level focuses on helping players become comfortable with the stick, the ball, and the basic flow of the game.
Players learn core fundamentals such as passing, catching, cradling, and basic field movement.
Program Highlights
- Typical age: 5–8 years old
- Practices: 1-2 practices per week
- Game format: 7v7 developmental play
- Focus: Learning the game, building confidence, and having fun

LIGHTNING
3rd - 4th Grade
The Lightning program builds on the fundamentals introduced in the Bantam program while helping players develop stronger game awareness and teamwork.
Players continue developing passing, offensive movement, defensive positioning, and understanding the rules and strategies of the game.

- Practices: 1-2 practices per week
- Game format: 7v7 team play
- Focus: Skill development and game understanding
We help players build confidence, improve fundamentals, and develop a strong understanding of teamwork and gameplay in a fun, competitive environment.
JUNIORS
5th - 6th Grade
The Junior program introduces more advanced gameplay and team strategy as players continue developing their skills.
Athletes begin refining offensive movement, defensive techniques, team formations, and game tempo while preparing for full-field play.

- Practices: 1-2 practices per week
- Game format: 10v10 game play, full field
- Focus: Advanced fundamentals and team strategy
The Junior program helps athletes build confidence, sharpen competitive skills, and prepare for the speed and structure of upper-level lacrosse.
SENIORS
7th - 8th Grade
The Senior program prepares players for the transition to high school lacrosse by focusing on competitive gameplay and advanced development.
Players develop position-specific skills, advanced strategies, leadership, and conditioning to prepare for high school competition.

- Game format: 10v10 game play, full field
- Focus: Competitive preparation and advanced skill development
The Senior program helps athletes elevate their game, compete at a higher level, and build the skills needed for success in high school lacrosse.
GIRLS
1ST - 8TH GRADE
The Georgetown Girls Lacrosse program combines speed, strategy, teamwork, and field awareness in a fast-moving sport that challenges athletes both mentally and physically. Open to girls in grades 1–8, the program creates opportunities for female athletes to compete, build confidence, develop leadership skills, and be part of a growing lacrosse community in Central Texas.
Girls lacrosse emphasizes movement, spacing, communication, agility, and game IQ while helping players develop strong stick skills and overall athleticism through structured practices, competitive play, and team development.
Whether athletes are new to the sport or continuing to advance their game, the program is designed to help players grow as competitors, teammates, and leaders on and off the field.

- Game format: Small-sided and full-field play based on age and experience level
- Focus: Skill development, confidence, teamwork, and competitive growth
