The Next Level Starts Here

The Georgetown High School Lacrosse club provides competitive opportunities for student-athletes who want to continue developing their skills while representing the city of Georgetown in regional competition.

The program focuses on building strong athletes, disciplined teammates, and confident leaders both on and off the field. Players compete against other high school lacrosse programs across Central Texas while continuing to develop advanced skills and game strategy.

Many players move into the high school program after participating in Georgetown Youth Lacrosse, while others join for the first time during high school. Whether athletes are experienced players or brand new to the sport, the program provides opportunities to develop skills, compete, and be part of a strong team culture.

High School Team Values

The High School Lacrosse program is built on a foundation of character, teamwork, and accountability.

Players are expected to demonstrate the program’s core values on and off the field:

  • Teamwork and trust among teammates
  • Accountability and commitment to improvement
  • Respect for coaches, officials, and opponents
  • Discipline and strong work ethic

These values help shape athletes into leaders who represent the Georgetown lacrosse program and the Georgetown Texas community with pride.

Coaching Philosophy

Two lacrosse players sprint after the ball, one in white and blue, one in black, on a field with a goal in view.

The Georgetown High School Lacrosse program is built on one core belief:

Great teams are built by mastering the fundamentals.

We focus on developing disciplined, skilled, and agile athletes who understand every aspect of the game, including:

  • Stick skills
  • Footwork
  • Field awareness
  • Communication
  • Strategic execution
  • Team play under pressure

We believe the strongest teams are not simply the most athletic. The best teams communicate effectively, trust one another, execute plays with precision, and consistently do the small things right.

Building Smart, Skilled Players

Every practice is designed to help athletes:

  • Improve lacrosse IQ
  • Strengthen fundamentals
  • Increase speed and agility
  • Build conditioning and endurance
  • Learn offensive and defensive strategy
  • Communicate confidently on the field
  • Execute as a team, not as individuals

Players are coached to understand how their role contributes to the success of the entire team.

Brotherhood Beyond the Field

The relationships built through lacrosse often last long after graduation. Through hard work, competition, shared goals, and team culture, we aim to create a brotherhood rooted in:

  • Trust
  • Camaraderie
  • Commitment
  • Work ethic
  • Support for one another

Our program is building more than athletes. We are building teammates, leaders, and a program players are proud to represent.
